Shane graduated from Nanyang Polytechnic with a Diploma in Physiotherapy. He went on to obtain an Honours Degree for Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from Trinity College Dublin.
He started his physiotherapy career in a public hospital where he was part of a neurological team that helps and rehabilitates patients with stroke, Parkinson’s, spinal cord injuries and traumatic brain injuries. He later joined the Orthopaedic team and continued to rehabilitate patients who have undergone Total Knee Replacements (TKR), Total Hip replacements (THR), Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction and Spinal operations. Working with a multidisciplinary team in hospital, Shane has helped patients with cardiac conditions and conducted cardiac rehabilitation sessions. He also joined a home-based physiotherapy service, helping elderly patients with various conditions to rehabilitate in their own homes.
Shane empowers his clients by helping them to overcome any fears and misconceptions of their conditions. He believes in actively involving patients in their journey to recovery. Apart from work, Shane enjoys calisthenics, cycling and running to keep active. With his keen outlook for exercise, Shane incorporates proper techniques and forms into his practice to ensure patients achieve optimal results.
Through the thrill of acquiring new skills and the joys of honing them, Shane has a passion for learning. He continues to challenge himself, striving to deliver the best care as he helps his patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.
