Kelvin is a highly skilled physiotherapist specializing in the management of musculoskeletal and sports injuries. With over 15 years of clinical and teaching experience, he currently serves as the Clinical Director at Rapid Group, where he plays a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s clinical expertise and fostering a culture of excellence.

In his leadership position, Kelvin leads a dedicated team of physiotherapists, providing mentorship and guidance to young professionals in the field. He is committed to cultivating an environment that encourages continuous learning and professional growth, inspiring his team to reach their full potential. Under his direction, the clinical team has implemented innovative practices and evidence-based interventions that significantly enhance patient outcomes.

Kelvin earned his Master’s degree in Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapy from the University of South Australia in 2014, following his Physiotherapy Honors Degree from the National University of Malaysia in 2008. Throughout his career, he has worked alongside renowned experts in the field and has managed a diverse range of patients at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, including those with sports injuries, orthopedic surgeries, and geriatric conditions.

In 2015, Kelvin contributed to the medical team at the 28th Southeast Asian Games, providing physiotherapy services to international athletes with acute sports injuries. His commitment to athlete care is further exemplified by his certification as a Technical Level 1 Weightlifting Coach under Singapore’s National Coaching Accreditation Programme, enabling him to guide weightlifters on safe lifting techniques.

Kelvin has also enhanced his clinical expertise through a Health Manpower Development Programme scholarship, where he underwent specialized training in Musculoskeletal Diagnostic Ultrasound in Adelaide, Australia. This advanced training allows him to effectively identify and treat dysfunctions in muscles, tendons, and ligaments, significantly improving patient rehabilitation.

Additionally, he holds certifications in Kinesio Taping Fundamentals and Advanced levels, further enriching his therapeutic toolkit. Kelvin’s dedication to patient care and leadership excellence earned him the PS21 Star Service Award of Excellence in the 2014 Public Service Awards.

Currently, Kelvin is pursuing the Healthcare Leadership Course at the National University of Singapore (NUS), aiming to further enhance his leadership capabilities and strategic vision in the healthcare sector. A passionate sports enthusiast, he was a competitive badminton and volleyball player in Malaysia and continues to engage in recreational running and high-intensity interval training (HIIT). His vision is to create a high-performance and recovery space for athletes at Rapid Group, ensuring optimal care and performance while continuously striving for innovation and excellence in physiotherapy practice.
