Gerald Ang graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from the Singapore Institute of Technology in 2023. His passion for physical activity began to flourish during his secondary school years when he discovered his aptitude for football. Through his commitment and talent, he went on to join competitive clubs in 2011, eventually representing Albirex Niigata in the Singapore Premier League.
During his tenure as a physiotherapy student at the Singapore Institute of Technology, Gerald amassed substantial clinical experience, particularly in musculoskeletal rehabilitation. He has collaborated with professional football clubs, including players from the Singapore National Football Team, delivering specialized care to athletes. In addition to his work with athletes, Gerald led weekly exercise classes for middle-aged women. He also honed his skills as a sports massage therapist, catering to a diverse clientele seeking personalized care and assistance on their recovery journey.
Gerald has diversified his experience across various facets of physiotherapy in public health settings. This includes rehabilitation in subacute and intermediate long-term care environments, as well as in cardiopulmonary and neurological physiotherapy. Furthermore, he has provided care to amputees and patients with poly-trauma, broadening his expertise in a range of rehabilitation settings.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Gerald finds joy in a variety of hobbies. He delights in the excitement of riding his motorbike, nurtures his love for football, and values quality time spent with his loved ones. Additionally, he stays active by engaging in workouts with friends, fostering strong relationships beyond his professional sphere.
