Alyssa is a physiotherapist with a passion for helping individuals return to the sports and activities they love, with a clinical focus on shoulder, ankle and knee conditions. She graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours with Distinction) from the Singapore Institute of Technology. She did her musculoskeletal clinical placement in NUH and sports physiotherapy in WH.
Sport and movement have been lifelong constants for Aly. She brings an extensive athletic background to her practice, highlighted by over ten years as both a competitive swimmer and coach. She also played women’s soccer for five years and dedicated several years each to boxing, Latin dance, and yoga recreationally.
This diverse foundation gives her a profound firsthand understanding of varied movement patterns, technical demands, and sport-specific injury profiles.
Prior to transitioning into physiotherapy, Aly spent some years navigating a demanding corporate career. Having experienced the realities of desk-bound routines and tight schedules, her motto is to design sustainable rehabilitation programmes that fit into the lives of busy working adults.
Believing that true recovery involves the mind as much as the body, Aly also holds a degree in psychology and has received training in counselling and sports psychology. This allows her to support the mental confidence and motivation crucial to successful rehabilitation.
Her ultimate goal is to not just relieve pain, but to empower her clients to confidently return to their lives physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Outside the clinic, Aly continues to swim, coach, and maintain a regular strength training routine. Driven by a constant curiosity about movement, her newest physical interests are pickleball and qigong.
