Mathew is the current lead of Rapid Physiocare Kovan branch. He graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2012 and completed his Graduate Certificate in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy in 2019 at La Trobe University, Melbourne. Mathew has also completed formal training in Kinesio Taping, Muscle Energy Techniques, Dry Needling, DMA Clinical Pilates, McKenzie Therapy, Sports Physiotherapy, Advance Shoulder Rehabilitation, Cranio-Cervical Therapy, Advance Spinal Physiotherapy, International Schroth 3-Dimensional Scoliosis Therapy (ISST) and Paediatric Rehabilitation.

During his time in Australia, Mathew was a Sports Trainer for the Australian Football League. He also worked with Youth Sports Teams including Rugby, Soccer, Basketball, Cricket, and Inter-varsity games to assist in Injury Management and Prevention. Mathew has a diverse sporting background in competitive Swimming, Badminton, Bowling, Canoeing, and Canoe Polo. He continues to challenge himself with Marathons, Triathlons, Road Cycling, and Wakeboarding during his free time.

Having worked in Cardiopulmonary, General Surgery, and Orthopaedic specialties across hospitals in Singapore and Australia, Mathew is well versed in both Acute and Chronic Pain Management. He continued to pursue his interest in Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation and has since worked in a variety of Outpatient Musculoskeletal services, both locally and overseas in public and private settings.

Mathew has developed a great understanding of the demands of maintaining an active lifestyle and prides himself on providing patient-centric, clinically efficient, and best practice management for musculoskeletal conditions including Upper Limb overuse injuries (Rotator Cuff Dysfunction, Tennis/Golfers Elbow, Dequervains), Neck pain (Cervical Spondylosis and Radiculopathy), Back pain (Scoliosis, Sciatica, Spondylosis, and Spondylolisthesis) and Lower limb injuries (Achilles, Patellar, Gluteal Tendinopathy, Plantar fasciitis, Muscular and Ligamentous strains).

Mathew continues to embark on a lifelong learning journey and embraces new technologies to advance his practice in healthcare. He looks forward to sharing his knowledge and engaging in meaningful conversations with you that will help simplify your journey towards moving well and living better.
