Deodatus is a dedicated physiotherapist who graduated with a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Physiotherapy from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2021. He is registered with the Allied Health Professions Council in Singapore.
After graduation, he began his career in physiotherapy at a tertiary hospital in Singapore, where he worked with the neurological and geriatrics team to facilitate the physical rehabilitation of patients affected by conditions such as Stroke, Parkinson’s, and Dementia. He also gained experience in post operative rehabilitation while working in the Cardiothoracic Vascular Surgery teams and has worked in both Intensive Care and High Dependency Units. Through his time spent working, he has engaged with a diverse range of patients with acute to chronic conditions, helping to manage pain and encourage gradual return to movement and motivating patients to lead more active lives.
This interest in movement had first manifested through his love of dance during his younger years. Through his experience in dance, he learned that having good balance, spatial awareness, and motor planning are essential components of executing a good routine or choreography. He realized that improving these individual skills is also crucial for many sports and especially rehabilitation, which further sparked his interest in physiotherapy.
Deodatus continues to be passionate about helping his patients and seeks to provide dedicated and personalized care. By working collaboratively with his patients and using evidence-based treatments, he aims to empower individuals to take control of their health and wellbeing, leading to a more fulfilling and active life. To further this goal, he is committed to staying up to date with the latest research and techniques in the field of physiotherapy.
In his free time, Deodatus remains committed to leading a healthy and active lifestyle. He enjoys staying fit through a variety of activities, including home-based calisthenics programs and attending yoga and Pilates classes. In addition to his fitness routines, he also enjoys reading, solving puzzles and streaming virtual reality gameplay in his free time.
